SCUSD Is Expanding Meal Access For Students Affected By The School Closures
SCUSD is dedicated to helping students graduate as globally competitive lifelong learners who are prepared to succeed in a career and/or higher education. The closure period for schools will be extended through the end of our academic year on June 11, 2020 as part of the effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19.
We know our community is anxiously awaiting our plan for what school will look like for our next academic year. We will develop the school plan in three phases and continue to provide you with updates about our progress through each phase.
Sac City Unified is creating a 2020-2021 School Plan in the following key areas: Health & Safety, Academics, Athletics, Attendance and Engagement, Climate & Culture, and Nutrition Services.
The Sacramento City Unified School District Nutrition Services Department is expanding meal access for students affected by the school closures. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18 the District will increase the number of sites where meals are provided as well as expand the hours for meal distribution.
