K-8 Open Enrollment Starts February 2

Open Enrollment is an opportunity for incoming kindergarten through 8th-grade students who reside permanently within the boundaries of Sacramento City Unified School District to apply for spots in schools beyond their neighborhood school when space is available.

Please visit our Open Enrollment website to see the list of K-8 schools by grade level that is participating and to read the frequently asked questions about the process. 

The 2021-2022 Open Enrollment application will be available Tuesday, February 2, 2021, at 8:00 a.m. – Tuesday, February 16, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. on the Open Enrollment website. 

It is recommended that you register your incoming kindergartener in their neighborhood school before you apply for Open Enrollment in case your child is not selected through the lottery. Learn more about Kindergarten Registration.
